Using roasted garlic as a base gives this pesto sauce rich taste and texture.
- pesto made according to directions on Garlicky Italian Seasoning tin. - 1/2 cup
- heads of roasted garlic (visit misc. recipe section) - 2
- grated parmesan cheese - 1 tbsp.
- slices of French crusty stick - 32 – 2
Squeeze garlic from skins of freshly roasted garlic bulbs and blend well with
prepared pesto mix.
Grill bread on both sides until crusty outside but chewy inside.
Spread pesto mixture on bread.
Garnish with Parmesan cheese.
Note: Pesto has many uses. It makes a great garnish for soups or sauce for lamb,
fish or chicken. You can stir into pasta, rice or salad dressings or use as a
sandwich spread mixed with mayo.
