A great snack or appetizer served with pita chips.
- chickpeas or garbanzo beans - 1 – 19oz. can
- liquid from can of chickpeas - 1/3 cup
- lemon juice (depending on taste) - 3-5 tbsp.
- tahini spread - 1 tbsp
- Hot Garlic Mashed Potato Seasoning (the longer is sits, the hotter it gets) - 1-2 tsp.
- salt - 1/2 tbsp.
- olive oil - 3 tbsp.
Drain chickpeas and set aside liquid from can. Combine remaining ingredients in
blender. Add 1/3 cup of liquid from chickpeas. Blend 3-5 minutes until thoroughly
Place in serving bowl and create a shallow well in the center of the hummus.
Drizzle in more olive oil. Garnish with parsley.
Serve with fresh, warm or toasted pita bread.
Store in refrigerator up to 3 days or freezer for one month
NOTE: Add more olive oil if too dry.
