- whole frozen garlic cloves - 1 cup (partially cook in microwave if you wish to expediate the process)
- roasted garlic oil (or cooking oil) - 1 tbsp.
- Optional - season to taste if assimilating to a specific dish( eg. thyme or rosemary sprigs, black pepper)
Preheat oven to 325F.
Rinse frozen Ontario garlic cloves, pat dry on towel or between paper towels.
Toss garlic with oil until coated thoroughly.
Place of a piece of foil large enough to pouch around garlic (like a sack)
Place foil pouch on a cookie sheet and bake about 30 minutes or until tender. May open foil pouch to allow extra browning and caramelization or buds.
Remove from oven and cool to handle. Can be mashed or left whole to fit your cooking application.
